Contest Overview:

The Pookalam Contest is a great opportunity for participants to showcase their artistic flair and stand a chance to have their homes painted for free. 

Below is a comprehensive outline of how the contest will unfold:

Eligibility:

1. The Contest is open to all individuals aged 18 and above.
2. Participants must have valid and active social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

Contest Period:

The Contest begins on “23 Aug 2023, 00:00 hrs” and ends on “29 Aug 2023, 22:00 hrs”. All entries must be submitted within this timeframe.

How to Participate:

1. Registration:

Campaigns to encourage all Pookalam artists are running across various online platforms. From all such platforms, Interested participants will be directed to register for the contest through PaintMyWall’s official webpage. During registration, participants will provide essential details including their location, Instagram, and Facebook usernames.

2. Rules and Guidelines:

All guidelines are detailed on this page. Participants will also promptly receive a comprehensive set of rules and guidelines via WhatsApp, ensuring a clear understanding of the contest’s terms and conditions.

3. Participant Engagement:

Upon successful registration, participants will seamlessly engage through WhatsApp for ongoing updates, clarifications, and effective communication.

4. Submission of Entry:

Participants will be encouraged to share their splendidly adorned Pookalam images necessarily along with a selfie, directly through WhatsApp and through the web-page

The submission window will remain open until 10 PM on August 29th, coinciding with Onam.

Reel Upload and Shareable Content:

1. Your uploaded photographs shall be converted into a few seconds reel.
2. As of August 30th noon, PaintMyWalls will proudly showcase reels featuring the Pookalam images of all participants on their official Meta and Instagram pages. And the link shall be shared with you instantly, via any of the online platforms, including Whatsapp.
3. The reels will thoughtfully tag participants’ Instagram or Facebook accounts.
4. By now particiapnts can start sharing thier pookalam reels posted on paintmywalls handle and get maximum likes and engagaement.
5. Additionally, participants will receive a shareable WhatsApp message containing links to the reels, making it easy for them to share their creations.

6. Winning criteria:

1. Participants will be chosen completely transparently based on the count of “likes”. While we shall publish and campaign on your behalf, it is expected that Participants will enthusiastically share their creations with their near and dear ones, friends, and relatives and gather more and more “likes” on their Pookalam reels across both Facebook and Instagram.
2. The cumulative “likes” count from both platforms will be meticulously aggregated to ascertain the final result.
3. The participant garnering the highest cumulative likes on their Pookalam reel, across both platforms, will be announced as the winner. And all these will happen in real-time and transparently across these two platforms.
4. The decision of the winners will be a no-brainer and will be visible throughout the “30th, 31st, and 1st”(till 1 pm). If a participant is being unfair, PMW shall at its sole discretion can discard the participation. Else, “likes count” will be the sole criterion for winning.
5. The result will be calculated by “1st Sep 2023” till “1 pm” and winners will be announced at “3 pm” through the Organizer’s social media accounts and will be contacted directly for prize redemption.

7. Contest Prize:

The beauty of the contest lies in the reward. There will be three winners and each will be awarded the prize of a full house painting from PaintMyWalls as listed in ANNEXURE “A” below. 

8. Announcement and Updates:

Any other critical updates related to the contest, including result announcements and other pertinent notifications, will be efficiently disseminated through PaintMyWalls’ official WhatsApp channel and other appropriate communication platforms.

Rights and Permissions:

1. By participating in the Contest, Participants grant the Organizer the right to use their submitted content for promotional purposes related to the Contest.
2. Participants confirm that the content shared is their original creation and does not infringe upon any third-party rights.

Disqualification:

Participants may be disqualified if they:

1. Share inappropriate or offensive content.
2. Use false information or engage in fraudulent activities.

General Conditions:

12. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
13. Participants agree to release the Organizer from any liability arising from participation in the Contest.

Privacy

Participants’ personal information collected during the Contest will be used solely for the purpose of the Contest and will be handled in accordance with the Organizer’s privacy policy.

ANNEXURE – A

Free Painting under Pookalam Contest – Additional Terms & Conditions

• This “Free Painting under Pookalam Contest” offer is part of the Pookalam Contest and is open to all individuals.
• There are three prizes to be won under this Offer:

a. 1st Prize (Gold): The winner will receive free painting services for a total paintable area of 3000 square feet, suitable for both interior and exterior painting. The paint applied will be Asian Paints Interior Emulsion (plastic finish look, basic) for interior walls and Asian Paints Exterior Emulsion for exterior walls. The winner can choose up to 5 different wall colors.

2nd Prize (Silver): The winner will receive free painting services for a total paintable area of 2200 square feet, suitable for both interior and exterior painting. The paint applied will be Asian Paints Interior Emulsion (plastic finish look, basic) for interior walls and Asian Paints Exterior Emulsion for exterior walls. The winner can choose up to 4 different wall colors. A maximum of 1000 square feet can be allotted for exterior painting, and a maximum of 2000 square feet can be allotted for interior painting.

3rd Prize (Bronze): The winner will receive free painting services for a total paintable area of 1600 square feet, suitable for interior painting only. The paint applied will be Asian Paints Interior Emulsion (plastic finish look, basic) for interior walls. The winner can choose up to 3 different wall colors.

• If the winner’s paintable area exceeds the prize size or if the winner wishes to upgrade to a higher quality of paint, they will be required to pay the differential price.

• The Offer includes one coat of primer and two coats of paint. Any putty work required will be charged separately.

• This Offer is applicable only to houses and offices located within Bangalore city, India. Participants can enter the contest from any part of the world.

• The Offer will be activated if a minimum total participation count of 100 is achieved. Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to participate in order to reach this minimum count.

• The winner must “initiate” the house painting process within a maximum of “30 calendar days” after being declared the winner. Once the painting job has started, there should be no work breaks or stoppage requests from the winner’s side.

• This Offer assumes that the walls on which the free painting is to be applied are without significant undulations. In the event of underlying wall undulations, the winner may opt to pay an additional amount to correct these undulations, if feasible and desirable.

• All other standard terms and conditions apply to this Offer.
